The Festival’s goal
Our aim is to create and develop creative, professional, educational opportunities for the author's cinema in Siberia.
SiberiaDOC's targets
- Find new names of documentary filmmakers, to help them with ideas, from writing the script to promotion in distribution and industry.
- Develop professional skills of film professionals: producers, film critics, organizers of film clubs, etc. Participants of our projects have the opportunity to obtain subject-specific knowledge from practicing experts.
- Create a space for communication between film professionals. We strive not just to connect people with professional responsibilities, but to create a friendly, trusting atmosphere of a great common cause.
- Expand the professional network of documentary filmmaking. Our projects invite people from different cities and countries around the world to participate.
SiberiaDOC Events Archive
The film participated in French festivals ("Festival du cinéma russe à Honfleur" and "Etats generaux du film documentarie de Lussas", France, 2010). In November 2010 the film was selected in the competition program of ArtDocFest festival (Moscow) and was nominated for the National "Laurel" award in the categories of the best author's documentary and the best camerawork.
Holding a "Workshop for Documentary Filmmakers" in Astafyev's KSPU with the support of CULTURESFRANCE, which included a master class by Marina Razbezhkina at the Siberian Federal University.
Holding the EurasiaDOC 2012 Workshop in Perm. The organizers of the seminar were: SiberiaDOC project, New Course Film Studio, Lussas Film Festival (Ardèche Images), with the support of the French Embassy in Moscow, the Ministry of Culture and Youth Policy of the Perm Region.
Holding a seminar EurasiaDOC 2013 in Novosibirsk. The organizers of the seminar were: SiberiaDOC project, ARDÈCHE IMAGE (France), the Ministry of Culture of the Novosibirsk region, State Budget Committee "NOVOSIBIRSKINOVIDEOPROKAT", Faculty of Journalism of Novosibirsk State University.
